Not at all, in fact, it might be cruel to give them to them at the rate we were used to growing up. Sugar is addictive, so there's so sense in introducing sugary things until they start asking for it, and then teach them about health and give in moderation. My daughter is 2 1/2 and she's still never had syrup on her pancakes and doesn't know what she's missing :) My daughter started very young, at 6 weeks, but my son is now 8 months old and is still having a hard time. I loved the book "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child", check it out! Try asking yourself what's important for you to accomplish in life. If you don't have time for relationships and are miserable for it, something needs to change. Try hiring someone to assist you in whatever is overwhelming you at work. Make time for the important things in life, you'll never have these years back.
