As long as the kids are learning and the teacher's personal life is kept personal, I don't care what kind of person he is at home! No, it's probably better parenting to limit sugary foods. I wouldn't, however, cut them off entirely. Unless they have health problems, sugary foods can be perfectly fine for kids in moderation. Save them for special occasions like birthdays or holidays. In the meantime, make sure you have lots of healthy alternatives like fruit and granola bars! Resale and consignment shops are wonderful for this. A lot of consignment shops have strict policies about what they accept as merchandise, so you can find name and designer brands for very little money. I found brand new, leather loafers by Cole Haan for $20 once, and they retail for $150. Melatonin is great stuff. I've been using it for years, and I've really noticed a difference. Also, make sure you go to be at roughly the same time every night, and abstain from caffeine in the late afternoons and evenings. Start carrying mints or gum with you, and make a point to regularly use them yourself. Every time you have one, make a point of offering one to him too. Feelings will be spared, and everyone will have fresh breath!
