If the guy has a girlfriend, forget it. Men never leave the women they are with for the person they are having an affair with. Sad but true. Sounds like this age difference between you is pretty significant too. Let it go girl - you can do better! I actually got this one...What's for breakfast? 'Cause I got the sausage. ....Ugh. Cruel?! Seriously? No. It isn't cruel. Your kids will probably be envious of their friends who have Little Debbie cakes at school, but ultimately they will just be healthier, and already in the habit of not eating that kind of stuff when they're older. I wasn't allowed to have any of that sugary stuff when I was little, and I turned out just fine. :) Unless you're already a runner, start slow. Give yourself a goal you can actually meet without overwhelming yourself or getting discouraged. I started with walking a half mile 3-4 times per week. Then after the first week, I started to alternate walking and jogging, like walk for 3 minutes then run for 2. Slowly work yourself up to running the entire time. Just be careful - running is hard on your body. Do what you feel comfortable with. Walking or running ANY distance is better than doing nothing. Listen to your body. If it's telling you you've had enough, you've had enough. I would nix the alcohol/drugs suggestions...ahem...but try this. Do something that gets your heart going just before bed, like light exercise or sex. Don't use the bedroom for anything but sleeping and sex - no TV, no reading, etc. That way, your body knows that once you get in bed, it's time to rest. Melatonin does work also - but it's not a vitamin. It's the actual hormone that your body produces to help you sleep, just as your body produces the stress hormone when it's time to wake up and get going. Get yourself on a schedule if you can; go to sleep at the same time each night. If you lie in bed (in the dark) for 20 minutes and still can't sleep, get up and do something else, then try again a few minutes later. Think about yourself 50 years from now. Do you want him on the couch next to you?
