Unresolved Question
What is the best thing to do with my savings in this recession?

I want to tell you to put it under your mattress BUT More realistically I would look into putting it into a savings account that is earning between 3% and 5%. It's not much but it's steady. Also, keep in mind that if you have a large sum you're saving, ie. $100k or more, most banks will only insure you for up to $100k. Something to think about in case they fold.

I would say save it. There are so many people that are losing their jobs these days you never know if you could be next.

Hard to say, but if you have a lot of it, its a good time to buy up houses and hotels!
