Well, working in the dental field for twenty years my main concern woudld be the perio diease that this man could and can spread to you by kissing him. Just speak from the heart and make sure you are along so that other people can not hear u. If he freaks out than he does not really care about you enough to be concerned...

honesty is the best in a good relation ship if your not very good with that try buying him stuff then throwing in a pack of gum or some mints

I'd be more concerned that he has peridontal disease which is contagious. Hard to kiss a man with potty mouth, regardless of how "amazing" he is.

I agree with stellamavis... make note to pop a mint or grab a stick of gum. offer him one... maybe he'll start carrying his own pack.

There's an art to being able to say something like this without being offensive...perhaps write down a few ways to tell him and then see which one sounds best. Or I just thought of a good one, give him an incredible kiss, really sexy, then say 'that was really nice, oh what's that smell?' as you put your fingers up to your mouth to smell your breath. See if he does the same. If not, ask him, 'do I have bad breath?' If he doesn't admit that he has bad breath, just say 'one of us has bad breath, here's a mint.'

See what his diet consists of and try to encourage him to eat different kinds of food, see if that helps...
Or you could just be straight up and tell him nicely.. Wouldn't you want to know if you had bad breath...

Start carrying mints or gum with you, and make a point to regularly use them yourself. Every time you have one, make a point of offering one to him too. Feelings will be spared, and everyone will have fresh breath!

You can either A. offer him a mint or some gum every time you see him. B. Ask if he had garlic, onion, etc. and say you smell it on him. or C. Offer him a toothbrush.
