My first thought here my dear is... Shouldn't he have some input and choice in this? Wouldn't you feel better if he really chose to be with you rather than having to chase him down? I lost a good friend in High School over this same situation. I ended up with the guy. ended up dumping him and lost a friend. Who would you chit chat with about the relationship if your friend dumps you? Keep the friend.

Between you and your girlfriend, draw sticks and whoever draws the shortest stick gets him....but does she REALLY get him because remember it's the short end of the stick...

I second what Blackbetty had to say. First talk to your friend, once you do you'll be relieved and feel better about the situation and what to do. If you still don't know after that...ask lily!

This happened to me all of the time with my best friend and I. She was more popular and pretty than I was, and always got the boys. Some times I got jealous, but our friendship was strong enough to get over it. The decision to me is, if your friendship will be ruined over a guy, is that the friendship you want?

Girl, boys come and boys go! NO BOY is worth losing best friends over!

If it were me, I'd talk to my friend about the situation. Tell her you like this guy and that you'd like to date him. If she seems upset about it, don't date him. Your girl friends are much more important than guys... crushes and boyfriends will come and go, but your girls will always be there for you!
