My two are 2 years apart and it is perfect. They are each others best friend. They play so well together. They also fight pretty good too, but that helps them build conflict skills. I think 2 is a good number because it is not too overwhelming and everyone fits into the same car. I have friends with 3,4 or 5 kids. They never have a moment to themselves! Their houses are always loud and crazy. And they can never drive anything except a huge minivan or SUV. lol

I have a 5 mth old son, if the next one is a girl, I'm done :). If not, 3 times a charm. I would say the ideal number depends on the person and their financial and emotional stability.
